Who's Who Bernie

Hi, I'm Bernie and I have been going to Lourdes with HCPT since 1991 when I went with a Blackburn group, 161. Since then I have transferred to my home town of Manchester and have recently switched from Group157 to group 54, where I am assistant group Leader.

Taking children to Lourdes is a wonderful, uplifting and exhausting experience and one that I would not have missed for the world. I, like many of the helpers, feel privileged to be involved with this pilgrimage and hope to continue to do so for many years.

Throughout the year I am involved with the fundraising side and am part of the HCPT Finance group which plans and organises a range of fundraising activities. Each year we have to raise over £30,000 to ensure that the pilgrimage will run each Easter. We are always grateful for help in this area so please contact me if you can help with collections or have any fundraising ideas. We would also welcome any helpers who would like to join our Finance group. Please get in touch.
