Group 54 News

A message from Liz - Autumn 2002

 

I thought I would try and keep everyone informed by sending a quarterly newsletter out (with copies posted on the web site). If you have any news you wish to share or any good ideas, please contact me. I hope we can keep everyone, even past helpers, in contact with the group and what has been happening. When the website is up and running that will also be a great way to stay in contact and up to date with news.

Lourdes 2003

Just to update you all on what has been happening so far for next year. Bernie and I have visited 10 children who hope to be traveling to Lourdes next year. The group will be 6 boys and 4 girls ranging from 15-10 years old. The visits have gone well and at present I am waiting for the medical forms to be returned. As usual there are some real characters emerging from the children we have visited. Kane has the most fantastic smile and Chris is full of energy.

HQ are still trying to get all the group leaders to return forms as soon as possible now so please if you have not already returned your application form for next year and your deposit send it as soon as possible.

Christmas Party

Details of this years Christmas party are on the events page. Please keep the date free.

Fundraising

The next fundraising event is also on the events page. We need 60-70 people. Please contact Bernie or myself if you can help. If you have any fundraising ideas please let us know as we still have £21,000 to raise for the children's fares for next year.

One special request from me is please will you contact me to let me know if you are able to attend meetings or events. It's hard to plan things if you don't contact me. Sorry for the moan! Lots of love.
